This progressive six-week program teaches men and women basic strength training concepts through education and hands-on experiences, which will create long-term healthy habits. Learn how to adapt an exercise program to meet individual health and fitness goals. Participants meet twice a week to exercise, focusing on appropriate form and progression. Conclude each class with core strengthening exercises.
This six-week class offers a variety of progressive movements utilizing the High Intensity Training (H.I.T.) Each class is a well balanced, challenging workout that helps meet personal fitness goals.
This progressive six-week program utilizes heart rate training zones to increase maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max) during bouts of indoor cycling. This class combines intensity monitoring, cadence control and optimal class design to increase cardiovascular efficiency. Increased cardiovascular efficiency means increased VO2 max, which means improved endurance outdoors.
Ultimate Group Ride meets three times a week for six weeks in the Minneapolis University Recreation Center’s spin studio. Intermediate and advanced cyclists or multi-sport athletes encouraged to attend. Maximum of twelve participants per session. Personal heart rate monitors recommended, but not required. Separate registration required. Ultimate Group Ride fee structure does not include a FitPass.
