About Group Outings
General Information
For all groups interested in reserving blocks of tee times or scheduling a shotgun start at the University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course, the following policies will apply:
- University departments or student groups will receive priority when scheduling dates of events. Verification of a group's affiliation will be required by a letter from the respective department head or the Student Activities Office.
- Rental rates for group use are approved by the Sports Facilities Scheduling Committee and/or the Program Policy Board and are determined by management of the golf course. University department or student groups must book their event prior to February 1st in the desired year of the event to receive any available special rates. Group rates for use of the golf course are uniform for all groups if booked after February 1st.

Group Outing Policies
- Group events are available Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday only.
- All shotguns must have a minimum of 100 players, and will begin at designated times based on package selected.
- Certain group outing packages will require a $7/per player reservation fee redeemable in the form of Pro Shop credit the day of the event. Groups may distribute the credit total as they wish (per person, or as prizes).
- Payment for all group outings must be made in advance by credit card or check, and will be processed the day of the event.
- Cancellations or changes to your group's participation numbers must be done so five days in advance of event. Any cancellation or change made inside this five day window will result in the loss of the $5/per player reservation fee.
- After a request is submitted and accepted, a contract will be mailed or faxed to the person in charge detailing the group outing reservation agreement.
- Groups will be responsible for the fees of the package selected regardless of the turnout.
Cancellations/Weather Issues
Any changes to a group’s participation numbers must be done 7 days in advance. Cancellation or changes made inside the 7 day window are subject to billing at the discretion of University of Minnesota Golf Course management.
The general public is able to make starting times 14 days in advance. If players are needed to be added to the event, there may be limited availability if adjustments are made inside the 14 day window. Please plan accordingly.
Damages
Any damages to the property, equipment and/or facility will be paid by the group. Please inform all guests of this policy to prevent further action.
Alcohol Permits
All alcohol requests must be approved through the University of Minnesota Office of Risk Management. Please complete the form below to submit a request for alcohol at a group outing.
