The University of Minnesota Department of Recreational Sports is proud to offer an extensive court sport program. The program includes clubs in handball and squash; leagues in racquetball, handball and squash; and more than seven tournaments per year, ranging from state championships to intramural tournaments. Whether a competitive player or a beginner, there is a place for all players at the in the University of Minnesota Court Sports program.
The University of Minnesota Recreation Center offers the premier Court Sport facility in the state. It contains five glass backed international size squash courts (singles) and twelve handball/racquetball courts, ten of which are glass backed. The Department of Recreational sports is committed to preserving open recreation for its members and as such offers courts for reservation during more than 70% of its total court hours. Additionally, the St. Paul Gym contains two racquetball/handball courts and one squash court – which are available during all building hours.
