Youth Programs offers recreation activities infused with educational experiences for children of the University community. All Youth Programs are designed to encourage discovery and personal growth, while exposing children to the University of Minnesota.
Summer Youth Programs are structured as fun and informative day camps. Learning opportunities range from sport specific instruction to sound recording.
The summer program registration for 2009 is now open and will continue until camps are full, or until one week prior to their start date. Click on Goldy below to visit the Summer Youth Programs page where you can search for activities or download a copy of the summer brochure and forms.

Birthday parties are a less structured opportunity to expose children to the University. Held at the St. Paul Gym, each party includes at least one hour of activity in the pool or on the climbing wall and an hour of games and activity in a party room. All Youth Programs are facilitated by highly trained personnel with special interests in childhood development.
The Summer Youth Programs are fortunate to have a Summer Program Manager this year to assist the Director, Carole McNaughton-Commers, with daily operations. Many community and staff members know Jackie Paul from her seven years of service as a Group Leader and Office Staff/ Coordinator. Jackie's knowledge of the programs combined with her undergraduate degree in Education, Master of Arts in Instruction, teaching license (7-12), and teaching experience will be instrumental in continuing the quality of programs we provide. Jackie's expanded role will include overseeing the procedures and logistics of sites as well as communicating with parents, students and staff to ensure a safe and positive experience for all.
