Discovering 'U' camps feature exciting, creative programs for youth to explore more about how to express themselves. Whether through artistic endeavors or personal development topics, these challenging and interesting sessions can open up a whole new world. In addition to the featured instruction, participants will be playing sports or games, swimming, rock climbing, or exploring the many facets of the University of Minnesota, resulting in a great, well-rounded experience.
Registration for programs will begin on February 9, 2009 and will continue until all camps are full. Please note that many camps fill quickly!

Ceramics [back to top] Dig into the basics of constructing art from clay. Campers will learn about a variety of methods for constructing a ceramic piece and experiment with a variety of glazing techniques to put finishing touches on their artwork. Projects made in this class can be functional, sculptural or decorative. |

Choreography [back to top] A great choice for those who love to make up dances! Campers will participate in daily dance classes, view famous dances by major choreographers, write a review of a dance performance and create their own dances. Hip-hop, Jazz, Ballet, and many other dance styles are supported in this setting. Previous dance experience is not required, but helpful. Wearing comfortable clothes for dancing is recommended. Parents may attend a short performance at the end of the week. |
