About Youth Programs

Youth Programs offers recreation activities infused with educational experiences for children of the University community. All Youth Programs are designed to encourage discovery and personal growth, while exposing children to the University of Minnesota.

Summer Programs

Summer Youth Programs are structured as fun and informative day camps. Learning opportunities range from sport specific instruction to sound recording.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate in style with a birthday party at the St. Paul Gymnasium. Exclusive use of our state of the art climbing and bouldering wall and heated indoor pool are available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from September through May (Birthday parties are not offered during the summer). Specially designed party packages are available to create unique celebrations. Birthday Parties are ideal for children ages 5-15. However, parties can be catered to older children and even adults. For more information, visit the Birthday Parties page.

Birthday Parties

Birthday parties are a less structured opportunity to expose children to the University. Held at the St. Paul Gym, each party includes at least one hour of activity in the pool or on the climbing wall and an hour of games and activity in a party room. All Youth Programs are facilitated by highly trained personnel with special interests in childhood development.
